When Counsel Trust Company purchased 19 Toronto Street; the objective was to renovate the building to contemporary standards while preserving as much of the character of existing structure as possible. Careful planning allowed the historic structure to be successfully married with a new functional and spatial configuration. The original classicism of the existing structure counterpoints with the modern utilities and amenities required for a head office and banking facility.
