212 KING STREET Toronto, Ontario

Located at the corner of King and Simcoe Streets this building was originally constructed in 1907 to accommodate the head office of the Canadian General Electric Company. The project involved extensive interior renovations and the construction of a new penthouse addition integrated into the original building design as the Head Office of Symons General Insurance. The complex construction process along with the restoration of aspects of the building’s exterior consistent with original classic Beaux Arts style involved considerable research and careful planning and organization.
